The Bishop and the Atheist
Brandon Vogt is a blogger/speaker who also works for Bishop Robert Barron's Word On Fire Ministry. Vogt tells how a few months ago a man named Dave Rubin made contact to ask if Bishop Barron would be open to an interview. Rubin is host of the popular "Rubin Report" on YouTube. It has over 350,000 subscribers and 100 million views. One website describes Rubin as "a 39-year-old pro-choice, pro-pot, recently gay-married atheist with a strong allergy to organized religion." Bishop Barron agreed to the interview. This is the hour-long interview, in two parts, as posted on Rubin's own website. Both parties are polite and forthright. Bishop Barron impressed his host and many commenters on Rubin's site with his clear yet sensitive answers. CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE INTERVIEW Part 1 and Part 2 Our thanks to Fr. Lindsay Harrison for passing this along.

2017 marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of our Parish. We are planning special events in 2017 to mark this occasion. The spiritual highlight of the year will be a special Mass on September 17th with Archbishop Prendergast. Special guests will aslo be invited. The Mass will be followed by a BBQ. We will create a commemorative photo album with photos of current day parishioners. Please join us in celebrating this milestone moment in the history of our Parish. If you have ideas, or wish to help our 175th Celebrations Committee please contact Jim Moore at 613-256-5375 or via email at jamesrm1305@ gmail.com.

PARTICIPATE IN OUR PARISH DIRECTORY by having your family professionally photographed. We only do this every 5 years, so don't miss this opportunity to be a visible part of our parish. As 2017 marks the 175th Anniversary of our Parish, this will be a wonderful way to commemorate this event. The photo sessions will be held May 11, 12 & 13 and May 18, 19 & 20. Sign-up sheets will be available at the back of the Church at the beginning of April. If you participate, you will receive a FREE directory and you will also be able to purchase additional poses. We will be looking for volunteers to assist with this endeavour. If you are interested, please call the Parish Office at 613-256-1034.

Cemetery fees are updated each year and approved by the Archdiocese's Cemeteries' Administration. Click here to see updated Cemetery Charges for 2017
